Doris Voitier, Superintendent
Doris Voitier

Doris Voitier was appointed Superintendent of the St. Bernard Parish Public Schools on August 10, 2004. She became Superintendent after a 33-year career in the St. Bernard school system., following experiences as a high school mathematics teacher. Coordinator of Accounting, Supervisor of Accounting and Instruction, Associate Superintendent for Finance and Support Services, and Assistant Superintendent.

A graduate of Mount Carmel Academy in New Orleans, Ms. Voitier attended the University of Dallas from 1967-1969 and graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics education in 1971. She completed her student teaching at Chalmette High School, one of three parish high schools, and remained on staff as a teacher there upon her graduation from UNO. Ms. Voitier earned a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UNO in 1975, and she completed 30 graduate hours beyond her Master's Degree in 1983.



Katherine Lemoine
District 1 - Katherine Lemoine

Katherine Lemoine currently serves as the Education Program Manager at Nunez Community College. Lemoine has spent her entire career in the classrooms of St. Bernard Parish, working with students at every grade level.

She began her teaching career at C.F. Rowley Elementary School under principal Liz Winslow and was named 2003 St. Bernard Parish New Teacher of the Year. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education from U.N.O., and is enrolled in its Ph.D. program for Educational Administration.

Lemoine is also quite active in the community, serving as a Board Member for the Voices Foundation, The Old Arabi Neighborhood Association, and as the educational liaison for Shine Productions. Lemoine’s commitment to public service is instilled in her by her parents, Kevin and Tara Karcher. She lives in Old Arabi with her husband Barry, a writer and fellow educator.



District 2 - William H. Egan
William H. Egan

Mr. Egan represents District 2 and has been on the Board since 1996. Mr. Egan currently serves as Co-Chair of the Insurance Committee and as the National School Board Association Liaison. As a practicing attorney, Mr. Egan's legal expertise is a valuable asset to the Board.

Having lived in St. Bernard since 1969, Mr. Egan enjoys being active in the community. He has been married 44 years to his wife Nora. They have two grown children, a son Will and a daughter Kelli. They also have one grandson, Vincent.



Darleen Asevedo
District 3 - Darleen P. Asevedo

Mrs. Asevedo was elected in the fall of 2010 to her first term representing district 3 of the St. Bernard Parish School Board. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Insurance Committee and as the Junior Achievement Liaison for the Board. Mrs. Asevedo is self-employed and works in and supports other interests including the local Exchange Student program, event planning, celebrity entertainment and television documentaries.

She has been married to Mr. Jerod Asevedo for 31 years. Jerod and Darleen have two daughters, Brooke Asevedo Martinson, who is married to Nick Martinson and Kortney K. Asevedo.



District 4 - Sean K. Warner
Sean Warner

Mr. Warner is currently serving in his first term on the St. Bernard Parish School Board and represents District 4. Mr. Warner serves on the Board as both the Building Committee Co-Chair and as a Head Start Policy Council member. He is the Branch Manager and Commercial Loan Officer with Gulf Coast Bank and Trust in Chalmette. In addition, he served as Chairman of the Board for the St. Bernard Parish Chamber of Commerce, President-Elect for the St. Bernard Rotarians, Immediate Past-President and current Treasurer of the St. Bernard Parish Sports Hall of Fame. He is a 2010 Graduate of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute and was awarded “Most Proud Parish Resident.”

Sean Warner was born and raised in St. Bernard Parish and has both an Undergraduate and Master's degree from the University of New Orleans. Sean and his wife Michele have two daughters, Amanda and Morgan, and a son Alex.



Joseph Long
District 5 - Joseph V. "Joe" Long

Mr. Long has represented District 5 of the St. Bernard Parish School Board since January 1987. In his sixth term of office, Mr. Long is currently the Co-Chair of the Education Committee and is the liaison to the Louisiana School Board Association. He has held many positions on the Board including Chair of the Building, Executive and Insurance Committees. Also he served as the Legislative Liaison for the Board while holding the office of Vice-President. He worked for the Amoco Production Company and retired from Murphy Oil Company after 25 years of service. Mr. Long has served as President of the United Steelworkers of America – Local 8363 and has served on the Executive Board of the Greater N.O. AFL-CIO. He also is a former owner of Long's Day Care Center and a former member of the St. Bernard Community College Board of Trustees.

A lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish, Mr. Long is married with two children, 4 step-children, 3 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren.



District 6 - Dr. Hugh C. Craft, President
Hugh Craft

Dr. Hugh Craft has represented District 6 since being elected to the Board in 1995. Dr. Craft's educational administrative experiences include being named as Dean of the St. Be rnard Community College. During his tenure, the college received its initial accreditation in 1985. In 1992, the academic St. Bernard Community College was merged with Nunez Technical Institute to form a comprehensive community college for the region. Dr. Craft retired from Nunez Community College in August 1997, and was honored by the Louisiana State Board of Trustees for Colleges and Universities as Dean Emeritus of Nunez Community College. His vast experience in education as both a teacher and administrator has been a great asset to the School Board.

Dr. Craft and his wife Carolon have three daughters: Jenny, Tammi and Cassi and three sons-in-law. The Crafts also have 5 grandsons and one granddaughter.



Diana Dysart
District 7 - Diana B. Dysart, Vice-President

Diana Barcelona Dysart represents District 7 and has served on the School Board since January 1983 for a total of 28 years of service. Mrs. Dysart currently serves as Co-Chair of the Executive Committee and as the Higher Education liaison but has also served for 17 years as President and 6 years as Vice President of the Board. As A life-long resident of St. Bernard Parish, Mrs. Dysart is a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School. She earned a B.A. in Education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and a Masters of Education in Administration and Supervision from L.S.U. In addition to service on the School Board, Mrs. Dysart has been; Chairman of the Mothers March of Dimes and the American Cancer Society, a Board member of the Louisiana School Board Association and a member of the Nunez Community College Foundation Board. She also teaches catechism for Our Lady of Prompt Succor School.

Mrs. Dysart has been married to Danny Dysart for 24 years. They have four children, Cori, Katie, Danny and Christopher, (Cori and Katie are graduates of Chalmette High School) and they also have 4 grandchildren.



District 8 - Clifford M. Englande
Cliff Englande

Mr. Englande is the representative for District 8 and has served that district on the St. Bernard Parish School Board since January 1994. Currently, Mr. Englande serves as the Local Government and Louisiana Legislative liaison. During his four terms in office he has also served as Vice-President and Chair of the Financial Committee. He is now retired with over 40 years of banking experience that has been a valuable asset to the system.

Mr. Englande is 43 years married to Cynthia Cantrell Englande, who is a 32 year veteran of the St. Bernard Parish School System. Cliff and Cindy have one son, Chip, who is married to Wendy Perry Englande, both of whom are products of the St. Bernard Parish School System. They also have two grandchildren, Zackory and Aimee.



Dr. Henderson Lewis, Jr.
District 9 - Dr. Henderson Lewis, Jr.
Dr. Henderson Lewis, Jr. represents District 9. Dr. Lewis was educated in the St. Bernard Parish Public School system and is a 1992 graduate of St. Bernard High School where he was the Salutatorian of his class. He then successfully pursued a Bachelors' degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Southern University at New Orleans in 1996. Dr. Lewis's graduate education includes a Masters' degree in Educational Administration from the University of New Orleans in 1999 and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the College of Education at Mississippi State University in 2004.

Dr. Lewis completed his student teaching at St. Bernard High School and taught mathematics at Andrew Jackson Fundamental Magnet High School from 1997 - 2004. He was named "Andrew Jackson High School Teacher of the Year" in 2000. In 2004, Dr. Lewis was promoted to the district level and served as the Middle School Curriculum Coordinator until 2005. After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Dr. Lewis returned to St. Bernard Parish Public Schools in November 2005 to assist with the rebuilding of the school system and served as a high school math teacher at St. Bernard Unified School.

In 2006, Dr. Lewis transitioned to the Algiers Charter Schools Association where he has served as the assistant principal at Alice M. Harte Charter School, then principal at Algiers Technology Academy and finally Director of Academics and Instructional Technology for the Association. In 2012, he was appointed Superintendent of Schools in East Feliciana Parish, a position he currently holds.

Dr. Lewis is married to the former Zinnia Mack. They are the proud parents of Taylor Mone't Lewis.



District 10 - Ronald "Ron" Nicosia
Ronald Nicosia

Mr. Nicosia represents District 10 on the St. Bernard Parish School Board. He was first elected to the School Board in January 1995, appointed to fill a vacant position in March 2010 and was elected again in January 2011. He has served on the Board for 13 years and during his tenure, he has also served as President of the Board and Chair of the Finance Committee. Mr. Nicosia is retired from Entergy Corporation after 32 years as an Information Technology Specialist.

Mr. Nicosia has been married to Judy White Nicosia for the past 44 years. Ron and Judy have 2 children, Perry Nicosia and Angel Poche. They have 5 grandchildren: Gene Nicosia, Ashlin Nicosia, Cole Nicosia, Kristen Aucoin and Tyler Aucoin.



Donald Campbell
District 11 - Donald "Don" D. Campbell

Mr. Campbell was elected to the Board in 1990 and has served for 20 consecutive years. A resident of District 11 for nearly 40 years, Mr. Campbell began his teaching career in the St. Bernard School System in 1963. Over the years, he taught at St. Bernard High, Sebastien Roy Elementary and P.G.T. Beauregard High School. He presently serves as the Co-Chair of the Building Committee and as LSU Cooperative Extension liaison.

Mr. Campbell, was married to his late wife, the former Gladys LeBoeuf, for over forty-years. They raised three children, two of whom are now teaching in the St. Bernard School System. His son-in-law and daughter-in-law are also employed as teachers in St. Bernard.
